Agrahara is a village in the Hassan district of Karnataka. It is said that Brahmin families migrated from the Tirunelveli district of neighbouring Tamil Nadu and settled in various districts of the present-day Karnataka. One of those districts included Hassan. One such family settled in Agrahara and were later joined by other families. The inhabitants of the village are still noted for their hospitality. Betel plants and coconut trees are found in abundant quantities here.
