About Ajmer

Ajmer

Ajmer is a popular pilgrimage centre for its shrine of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. Ajmer was founded in the late 7th century A.D. by Ajayraj Singh Chauhan of Chauhan dynasty. Ajmer has evolved as a manufacturing and trade centre for cotton, woollen textiles, leather, shoes, hosiery, and pharmaceutical products. Poultry is a major source of livelihood for farmers here. Jhunjunu 

Jhunjunu is a town in the state of Rajasthan and lies right in the middle of the Shekawati province. It is also the administrative headquarters of the Jhunjunu district. The town was named after a Jat named Jhunja Singh Nehra or Jhunjha. It is popular for the frescos at the roof of the havelis. A number of people from here join the Indian defence services.
