About Ajmer


Ajmer is a popular pilgrimage centre for its shrine of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. Ajmer was founded in the late 7th century A.D. by Ajayraj Singh Chauhan of Chauhan dynasty. Ajmer has evolved as a manufacturing and trade centre for cotton, woollen textiles, leather, shoes, hosiery, and pharmaceutical products. Poultry is a major source of livelihood for farmers here. Rajsamand is a town and a district of Rajasthan, India. It is famous for its artificial lake built by Rana Raj Singh of Mewar. The lake is called Rajsamand Lake and was built during the 17th century.
