Aklera is a small city in the Jhalwara district of Rajasthan.It lies on the edge of the Malwa plateau. The landscape outside the city consists of poppy fields and orange orchards. It has a rocky terrain, but is abundant with water, unlike most of arid Rajasthan. The city lies in the midst of the region known as Hadoti or the land of the Hadas, a clan of the Agnikula Chauhans.

The Ram Mandir and the Jain temple in the region are also places of interest. The lake on the outskirts known as Aklera Talab can be visited.
