Akot

Akot is the name of a city in the western Indian state of Maharashtra.The place was witness to the second Anglo-Maratha War when forces owing allegiances to Governor Arthur Wellesley and Bhonsle of Nagpur fought in the Battle of Argaon. Akot also happens to be a municipal corporation. The city has a rich mix of Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, Christians and Jains.

About Jalna

Jalna

A city and a municipal council in Jalna district in the Indian state of Maharashtra, Jalna is one of the renowned educational centers in the state. Legends state that Lord Rama’s wife Sita resided here. Jalna got its name from the occupation (Julaha or weaver) of its wealthy Muslim benefactor. The city is situated on the banks of river Kundalika. The Dargah of Jan Alla Shah is also near the river.
