As a small village in Basavana Bagewadi Taluk in Bijapur District, Karnataka State, Almatti is located south of Bijapur. Agriculture is the main occupation here and the village is about 510kms from the State capital Bangalore. Recently a garden was constructed near the dam in the village making it a tourist attraction among the neighbouring villages. Almatti falls under the Belgaum division of Karnataka.

Padubidri or Padubidre is a small town in the coastal district of Udupi in the state of Karnataka. It is on the way from Udupi to Mangalore route.
