Ambernath is a city located in the Thane district of Maharashtra, India. It is the head of its taluka and it falls under Konkan division. The district headquarters, Thane, is 35 km from Ambernath and 47 km from Mumbai. It shares its borders with the Ulhasnagar, Kalyan, Dombivli and Bhiwandi talukas.
