Araria is a town and a municipality located at the northern part of Medhepura and Purnia in Bihar. It is the administrative headquarters of the Araria district. Araria shares its borders with Nepal on the northern side, Kishanganj on east and Supaul on the south-west. It is well connected to other places via bus, rail and air.
