Avidi is a small village in the East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. It is located right in the midst of the delta formed by the Godavari river flowing down into the Bay of Bengal. It is a part of the Coastal Andhra region. The major urban agglomeration of Rajahmundry lies at a distance of 46 km across the river Godavari.
