Avudayarkoil is a temple village in the Padukottai district of Tamil Nadu. The structure is located near the town of Arthanthangi. The nearest major agglomerations are Tiruchirappalli and Thanjavur at the distances of 101 and 110 km respectively. The 19th Century Tamil poet Manikkavacakar’s sacred collection of Tamil hymns known as the Thiruvasagam is said to have originated from this shrine.
