Ayodhya is a small temple city in the North Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is believed to be the birthplace of lord Rama, the hero of Ramayana. It was a part of the ancient kingdom of Kosala and is still a sacred city for Hindus all over the world. It is located in the Faizabad district.
