Badiyadka is a small town in the Kasargod district of Kerala. The town or settlement is very close to the Karnataka border. The name of the town comes from the Malayalam words – Badi meaning temple, adka meaning ground. In the nearby ground of Bolukatta, locals gather on a regular basis to display their sporting skills. The coast is only half-an-hour’s drive away (18 km).

Being a small town, one would not find convenient places to put up for the night. One is forced to venture into Kasargod (19 km away) for lodging. There are a couple of good budget hotels in the city. The village in itself may not have anything interesting to offer. However, the state in itself is a haven of tourist attractions, especially with the highways parallel to the beaches. Some of the places worth visiting in Kasargod are Bekal Fort, Ananthapura Lake Temple, the mountains around Ranipuram, Kottancheri Hills, Malik Deenar mosque and others.
