Badrinath is a town in the Northern Indian state of Uttarakhand. Situated in Chamoli district, it is a holy town and the most important site of the Char Dham pilgrimage. The town is named after the ancient Badrinath Temple. Badrinath is associated with Lord Vishnu and finds mention in the epic, Mahabharata.
