About Baggar


Baggar is a small village in the Western Indian state of Rajasthan in the Jhunjhunu district. Temperatures are known to soar above 48°C during summer and then dip to subzero levels during winter. Conditions are pretty much similar to the neighbouring urban city of Churu, which lies at a distance of 64 km. Travellers passing through the village should not expect much in terms of anything other than a few roadside dhabas.

Hotel options are not available in plenty. However the city of Churu will offer good options among which Rathore Hotel (Tariff – Rs. 750), Hotel Natraj (Tariff – Rs. 700), Chirmi Churu Hotel (Tariff – Rs. 300) and Hotel Sawan Bhado (Tariff – Rs. 900) are worth trying.

The official language of Baggar is Hindi.

The important festivals celebrated are Holi in March, Hanuman Jayanti and Dusshera in September-October and Diwali in November.

Places of Interest
There are no places of tourist attraction in the village. However, some of the places which are worth visiting in the neighbouring Churu are Fresco Painted Havelis, Sethani Ka Johara, Mansa Devi Temple, Kanhaiyalal Bagla Haveli and others.

The nearest airport is the Sawai Mansingh International Airport in Jaipur at a distance of 195 km.

The major railway station nearby is the Churu Railway Station at a distance of 62 km.
