Temperatures are pleasant to warm during summers and cold to frigid during winters. The district headquarters, Kangra, is only 54 km away from here.

The official language of Baijnath is Hindi. Kangri is the regional language spoken.

The important festivals celebrated are Holi in March, Dusshera in September-October and Diwali in November.
