Bakani is a city in the western Indian state of Rajasthan. The city is a part of the Jhalawar district in the Kota division. It lies close to the city of Aklera (at a distance of 63 km) on the edge of the Malwa plateau. The landscape outside Aklera is made up of poppy fields and orange orchards. It has a rocky terrain, but is abundant with water, unlike the most of arid Rajasthan.

The Ram Mandir and the Jain temple in the region are also places of interest. The lake on the outskirts known as Aklera Talab can be visited.
