Kuduremukha

Kudremukha is a hill station town in the Chikkamagaluru district of Karnataka. It is named after the mountain range that is located there called Kudremukh, which literally translate to ‘face of a horse’ in Kannada. It was primarily developed to run and grow the public sector iron ore mining company that the government had started, but which is now closed due to environmental reasons.

Places to Stay
There are some government run shelters and home stays in Kudremukha but these often require bookings well in advance. Chikkamagaluru, only 72 km away, has some good budget hotel options.
