Kuthuparamba is a municipality and a town in the Kannur district of Kerala. The name of the town is derived from the word ‘Kuthu’, which is a folk dance and ‘Paramba’, which means ground. It is located 25 km away from the city of Kannur and 79 km away from Calicut. During the British Raj, Kuthuparamba was a military cantonment.
