Bantva is a small town in the westernmost Indian state of Gujarat. It is located in the Kathiawar peninsula at a distance of 44 km from the nearest urban hub of Junagadh. The coast of Arabian Sea is also not far away and is located at a distance of 36 km (an hour’s drive away) west of the village. The place is both hot and humid besides being dreary.

The best places of interest in the region are in the neighbouring city of Junagadh. Places which are worth a visit are Uparkot, Jama Masjid, Junagadh Caves, the old part of the town, Rohidas Ashram and others. The Gir National Park, famous for its lions, is also a must-see.
