Also known as Belmannu, Belman is a small town on the coast of the Arabian Sea in the South Indian state of Karnataka. It is located in the Udupi district. It is said that the place got its name from Billi Mannu (meaning white soil). Udupi is the major urban agglomeration in the area at a distance of 32 km.
