Multai is a Nagar Panchayat town from the Betul district of Madhya Pradesh. Multai belongs to the Narmadapur division and is the head of the Multai Tehsil. Pandhurna (35 km) and Nagpur (120 km) are the nearest major cities to Multai. Multai has a number of educational institutions so most of the population is literate.
