About Bhuj

Bhuj

Bhuj is a well-known city of Gujarat. It is located in the Kutch district. The city was founded by Rao Hamirji in the year 1510 and subsequently turned into a state capital by Rao Khengarji I in 1549. Bhuj had also been an important centre for the Jadeja Rajputs. In 1947, the princely state joined the Indian Union.

Mahesana

Mahesana is the municipality of the district by the same name in Gujarat. The city was initially part of the Bombay state after independence but was integrated into Gujarat once Maharashtra and Gujarat were separated. Mahesana is inhabited with 2,027,727 people and boasts 84.26% literacy rate, which is higher than the national mean. Mahesana is famous for Botter Kothani Vav, a step wall in north Gujarat, where the Rajputs hid their jewellery when passing through during the time of Mughals.
