About Bijadi

Bijadi

Beejadi is a small village in the South Indian state of Karnataka in Udupi district. The village is a traveller’s and surfer’s paradise as it sits exactly on the Arabian Sea coast. The place has not been that exposed to tourism, yet many people come to Beejadi. The nearest urban agglomeration of Udupi is 31 km north of the place.

Kumbashi

Kumbashi is a small village in Karnataka. It is part of the Udupi District and the Kundapur Taluk. It lies on the Udupi-Kundapur Highway. The village is also known as Anegudde. It was named Kumbashi because the demon Kumbhasura is said to have been slain here. Local folklore suggests that it was once the abode of Lord Vinayaka, and hence the name Anegudde (Anne-Elephant, Gudde-Hillock). The place is famous for an old and popular Ganesha Temple.
