About Brahmavara

Brahmavara

Brahmavar is a town in the Udupi district of the South Indian state of Karnataka. Being close to Barkur, the area is considered to be a cultural centre in the region. It is often referred to as lord Brahma’s Vara or Ajapura. The district headquarter, Udupi, lies at a distance of 12 km away from the village.

Rail:
The Udupi Railway Station located around 16 km away is the closest major railway station to the town.

Direct buses as well as via buses to the town are available from nearby towns and cities. It is mostly state-transport buses which indirectly cater to the needs of people. Private operators like SRS Travels have also slowly joined the race. Making use of bus ticket offers are the best way to save money while travelling.
