About Calicut

Calicut

Calicut which is also known as  Kozhikode is the third largest city that belongs to the state of  Kerala. It is situated on the Malabar Coast. The city is also being referred as "City of Sculptures" for there are many ancient architectural sculptures seen in different parts of this city.  According to history, this city was once a powerful trading centre for Arabs, Chinese and East African traders during the 12 century.
