Ataluk town in the Belgaum district of Karnataka, Chikodi is surrounded by hills on all sides. The rivers Krishna, Vedaganga andDudhgangaare near this town. The town’s development is chiefly attributed to tobacco farming. Chikodi is also a rich sugar belt and three sugar factories are located in this region. Other than for its temples, the town is well-known for being close to Nagarmunnoli, a village that is famous for its Ayurvedic Medicine.
