About Chiplun

Chiplun

Chiplun is a small picturesque city in the western Indian state of Maharashtra. It is a part of the Ratnagiri district and comes within the Konkan region on the coast. The major urban agglomeration nearby is the city of Pune at a distance of 233 km. It is believed that the word Chiplun means ‘Home of Lord Parshuram’.

About Miraj

Miraj

A town in southern Maharashtra, Miraj is believed to have been founded in the early 10th century. An important junction, Miraj was ruled by the Pathwardhan family until the Independence. A secular town, Miraj is well-known for the Hindustani classical music performance held here. In the 19th century, Miraj gained prominence for it Vaidyas, practitioners of traditional Ayurvedic medicine. Within India, Miraj has the highest number of hospitals and the town has two medical colleges.
