Dahisar is a small suburb of Mumbai, Maharashtra. Dahisar is the last suburb within the Mumbai Suburban district. It is located about 20 km north of Andheri. Dahisar gets its name from the 10 hamlets that make this village. The word “Dahi” means 10. This suburb is situated on Salsette Island, having National Park to its east and Manori creek to its west. There are numerous beaches, ponds and lakes close to the suburb.
