Daryapur is a town in the Amravati district of Maharashtra. It is quite adjacent to the city of Amravati itself, at a distance of 49 km. The town gets its name from its ruler, Darya Imad Shah, one of the independent kings of Berar. Daryapur is quite famous in the area for its excellence in education because of its old educational institutions.
