Dasuya is a town in the North Indian state of Punjab. It comes within the Hoshiarpur district. The district headquarters of Hoshirapur lies at a distance of 42 south-west of the town. Dasuya lies very close to the Himachal Pradesh border, near the Dasuya Forest Division. The state capital, Chandigarh, lies at a distance of 179 km. The town is referred to in the Mahabharata, which is why it is still referred to as Virat-ki-Nagri, as Dasuya was supposedly the seat of king Virat.
