Daudnagar is a municipality and town in Bihar. It is part of the Aurangabad District of the state. In the 17th Century, the then Governor of Bihar, Dhaudh Khan founded this town, and hence it is named after him. This town is located on the eastern banks of the Sone River, and an old fort built by Daudh Khan still stands here. His grandson, Ahmad Khan succeeded in fortifying this town, and he renamed it Ghausipur. There are many ancient buildings in this town from the 17th and 18th century.
