Deeg is a small town in the westernmost Indian state of Rajasthan. It comes within the Bharatpur district. According to Hindu mythology, Deeg falls is within the parikrama (religious circumambulation path) undertaken by lord Krishna as he started from Goverdhan. The district headquarters of Bharatpur lies at a distance of 36 km south of the town. Jaipur, the state capital, is 195 km west of Deeg.

The town has a railway station of its own. However, Bharatpur Junction Raiway Station is the closest major railway station at a distance of 36 km.
Mostly buses run by the state-run RSRTC serve the city and connect it to other cities. Private services are also in the race; an example being that of Shree Krishna Travels. Buses to the town are available from Bharatpur as well as Mathura in neighbouring Uttar Pradesh.
