Dhariwal is the fifth largest town situated in the Gurdaspur District of Punjab. This municipal council is famous and well-known for its woollen mill. During the earlier years, especially during the colonial India days, this mill was the lone one working in Punjab. Dhariwal has a population of about 18,706 and an average literacy rate of 74%. It has beautiful scenic places to visit and a number of colourful festivals that are celebrated here.
