Dhartale is a small bus-stop in the coastal region of Maharashtra. It is at the centre of three roads forming a junction. The nearest major urban agglomeration close to the place is Kolhapur at a distance of 134 km east. The Arabian Sea coast is extremely close by at a distance of just 6 km off the bus stand. Those headed to the sea-side town of Ratnagiri can take the route via this town.
