Dolatpura

Dolatpura is a small village in the westernmost Indian state of Gujarat. The nearest major urban agglomeration is Abu Road, across the border in Rajasthan at a distance of 150 km. Nadiad is a small city forming a part of the Kheda district in Gujarat. Its neighbours are Anand (18 km) and Kheda (22 km). It is also called Natapadra or Natpur (City of Natas). The number 9 is of historical significance in Nadiad, as there are 9 routes into the city, 9 lakes and step wells around it and 9 villages near it. Mahatma Gandhi started his Satyagraha movement from Kheda, while staying at the alms house in Nadiad.
