Duggiralla is a part of the Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. This town is famous for its production of turmeric and is home to Asia’s largest turmeric yard. Understandably, turmeric production and export is the major source of income for the people of Duggiralla. Duggiralla is also home to the Buckingham Canal (referred to as Pedha Kaluva by the local people), a tributary of the river Krishna. This tributary holds value as it connects the city of Vijayawada to Chennai.

Veerapalem, a picturesque village, popular among tourists, is located about 14 kms from Duggiralla, on the banks of the river Krishna. The Sri Rama Mandir, built in the 1960’s, is also a famous tourist attraction here.
