Echur is a village in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The nearest major urban hubs are Mahabalipuram and Chengalpattu at the distances of 17 km each. The place is not very far from the Bay of Bengal coast; the Kattur Reserve Forest is also located nearby at a distance of 15 km north of the village.
