Fatehabad is the headquarter of the district of the same name in the state of Haryana. It is located in the south – western part of the state. It has a tropical climate with temperatures rising as high as 46 degrees during summers and dropping to as low as 2 degrees during the winters. It was one of the first places taken over by the Aryans on their arrival in India due to its proximity to the River Saraswati.

The nearest airport to Fatehabad is the Amritsar Airport (158 km).
Fatehabad has its own railway station which is well connected to Punjab and Delhi.
Fatehabad also has its own bus station. Operators like Indo Canadian Transport Company provide their services here. These buses also ply to Delhi, Hisar, and Chandigarh.
