Gangavathi

Gangavathi is a town, municipality and taluka (administrative division) in the Koppal district (which was earlier the part of district Raichur) of the Indian state of Karnataka. It is situated close to Tungabhadra dam.Gangavathi is a commercial centre and a major focal point for the rice milling industry. It is also known as Rice Bowl of Karnataka.
