Giddarbaha is a city in the North Indian state of Punjab. The nearest major urban agglomeration is the city of Bhatinda, situated at a distance of 32 km east of the city. As per a legend, a man named Giddar would always disturb the womenfolk of the area. When the tenth Sikh Guru saw this, he arranged for the man’s wedding. Henceforth, the place came to be known as Giddarbaha (Giddar Viaha, meaning Giddar’s wedding).
