Gurram Konda is a small town in the South Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The place is located between the Bangalore highway and Kadapa. The cities located close to this town are Kadapa and Tirupati at the distances of 91 km and 108 km respectively. It is believed that rulers of the Vijayanagara kingdom would ride horses to the hill, which is how the place got its name; gurram meaning horse, konda meaning hill.
