Harur is a town in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is a part of the Dharmapuri district. The nearest major urban agglomeration is the city of Salem located at a distance of 62 km south-west. The district headquarters of Dharmapuri is located 47 km to the west of the town. The Kalrayan Hill Forests are also located close by at a distance of 26 km.
