Hazaribagh is a town in the state of Jharkhand. The name ‘Hazaribagh’ is a combination of two words from the Urdu and Persian languages. In both languages it means ‘One thousand Gardens’ (‘Hazar’ means ‘one thousand’ and ‘bagh’ means ‘garden.’) It is famous for the Hazaribagh National Park which is 17 km away from the town and the Health Resort. The Hazaribagh district is known for coal mines and for its flora and fauna.
