The second biggest town in Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh Hindupur was named after one of its early rules, Murari Rao’s afther. The town is the border between Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. The River Penner flows along the town of Hindupur. The town is reasonably close to Bangalore.
