A town in the state of Karnataka, Jevargi is the headquarters of the Jevargi taluka. Lord Sharanabasaveshwara was born in this town and also has the river Bhima flowing nearby (5km). Constituted in 1995, this town is situated in the Gulbarga district. This town is famous for its Mahalaxmi temple worth Rs. 100 lakh. It is also known for its Jain temples and is a pilgrimage centre for the followers of Jainism.
