Karad

Karad, a city in Maharashtra’s Satara district, is also known as the sugar bowl of Maharashtra owing to the numerous sugar factories that dot the vicinity. This city lies on the banks of rivers Krishna and Koyana. The confluence of both rivers is locally known as Preeti Sangam, which means lovely meeting.
