Kheralu (or Kherālu) is a town located 50 km north of Mehsana district of Gujarat and about 100 km from Ahmedabad. Taranga Hills, which is the main place of attraction for the Jains, are located in the village of Timba in Kheralu taluka of Mehsana district. A small pond and an orchard are located close to temple for recreation. River Rupen is also known to have originated from the Taranga hills.

Kheralu is a small town and hence does not have many hotels nearby. However, local home stays are available. Rooms are also available at nominal rates at Jain Dharmshalas near the Taranga Hills.
