A small pilgrim town in Andhra Pradesh, is situated adjacent to the west bank of the Godavari River. The place is known for its shrine Goshpada kshetram dedicated to Gowtham Maharshi. The rail bridge built in 1995 by the Indian Railways is 2nd largest rail bridge in India after the Ganga Rail bridge.
