Krishnagiri

The city of Krishnagiri is located in Tamil Nadu at a distance of 77 km from Bangalore and 39 km from Hosur. The city is blessed with exotic landscapes, hills and green lush valleys that attract many tourists. It is bounded by Vellore in the east, Karnataka in the west, Andhra Pradesh in the north and Dharmapuri in the south.

The Krishnagiri Reservoir Project Dam (KRP) built across the Thenpennai river is a famous tourist spot, especially for picnic purposes. Rayakottah, a famous hill fort has been the muse for many tourists, that invites a lot of visitors. Other main attractions worth visiting are Thally or the “Little England”, the Arulmigu Chandra Choodeswara Temple, Shree Parshwa Padmavathi Tirth Dham, Hanumanthathirtham and many more pilgrimage places.

The nearest major railway station is Kuppam Railway Stationlocated at a distance of 37 kms from the city.
