Kurnool

Kurnool a city that is part of the Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh lies on the banks of the Tungabhadra River and is the seventh most populated city in the state. The other rivers that flow through the city are Hundri and Neeva. Historically and architecturally rich, the place has a number of ancient temples, churches and mosque that attracts hordes of tourists.

Fort Konda Reddy, Belum Caves, Orvakal Rock Formations, Naganandilingam-Nandyal, several ancient Hindu temples and 52 Dargahs are some of the places that lures tourists to this city every year. All these places are located at a distance of about 10-15kms from the bus stand.

Air:
The nearest airport to Kurnool city is the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, at Hyderabad, which is about three and half hours’ drive from the city.

Rail:
Kurnool district has four railway stations; they are Kurnool city, Adoni, Nandyal and Dhone junction.

Bus:
Kurnool has the third largest bus station in Andhra Pradesh after Hyderabad and Vijayawada.
